Welsh Government
Collaborative Development

In its development of a new NHS Outcome Framework, the Welsh Government established five work streams, including stakeholder engagement. Community Research was asked to provide consultancy support for this stakeholder engagement element. The first stage of the process comprised a stakeholder mapping exercise. Key organisations were approached and asked to attend one or more stakeholder workshops. Three initial half-day workshops explored spontaneous views of what should be included in the Outcome Framework and a final reconvened workshop brought together participants from the initial three workshops, and aimed to further review and refine the outcomes. The results of the engagement activity were fed back at Ministerial level and mapped against the feedback from the other engagement activities with patients, public and clinicians to generate some key themes which resonate with all audiences.


Department of Health
Stakeholder Workshops

Community Research was commissioned on behalf of the Department of Health and the Home Office to deliver a series of regional stakeholder consultation events to support the formal consultation process to the Government's alcohol harm reduction strategy paper 'Safe, Sensible, Social - Consultation on Further Action'. The potential courses of action contained in the strategy were wide ranging and the various stakeholders that needed to be consulted came from diverse perspectives. The four workshops took place across different UK locations.
